TIME SHEETS
All office functions must be fully operational Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. A standard workday should span at least 8 hours (which does not include breaks for personal time). Because office hours span 8.5 hours, each employee is expected to take at least 30 minutes of personal time for breaks or lunch or off-site needs. This time can be divided up throughout the day or taken all at once, depending on staffing coverage needs. In addition to the 30 minutes of personal time expected to be taken each workday, employees may take an additional 45 minutes which shall count against the accrual of their hours used to calculate the workday and to calculate compensatory time (see section below for more information on compensatory time).

Time Keeping. Every employee will be issued a time sheet (in both Excel and Adobe) to keep track of time. No later than the 2nd day of every month, a completed time sheet for the prior month must be completed and submitted to the Executive Assistant to the District Attorney (hereinafter “EA”). This report may be done by handwriting on the forms provided or by completing the fields in Excel and emailing a copy to the EA.

Leave Approval. Any request for leave must be approved by Court Team Lead and should also be conveyed to the Executive Assistant to the District Attorney. For all State and SPCR employees, leave requests must also be entered into the Team Georgia Time Keeping System when the leave is to be taken out against an employee's official State bank of leave. Click here for further instructions on how to enter leave requests into the Team Georgia system.

Compensatory Time. Compensatory time off, or “comp” time, accrues at a rate of 1.5 hours of comp time for every hour worked more than 40 hours per week. Any employee wishing to take advantage of the comp time accrued must be current with submissions of time sheets to the EA. The EA will keep track of comp time banks for each employee.
